Work&Learn courses mentor and teach Biblical Principles and Employability  Skills to enable participants to change careers, find and succeed in jobs they really want and develop servant leadership skills.

The courses are for unemployed and underemployed men and women and for volunteers who would like to mentor or job coach participants.

Classes meet Tuesday nights in New London, CT.

The first hour is One-to-One with a coach or mentor to learn more about any topic of greatest interest to you. Have a sandwich together.

The second hour is devoted to principles found in the Bible that are critical for both personal and professional (employment) success. A different pastor each week teaches one of the twelve principles.

In small groups participants discuss how these principles apply in their own lives.

The third hour is devoted to Employability Skills, also known as Career Soft Skills. These include getting and keeping your resume in shape, choosing a Godly career, how to network, informational interviews, practice interviews, how to job hunt, personal budgeting, and public speaking. These skills are needed throughout a lifetime. They're taught by experienced management and human resource professionals.

The skills make possible the Career steps each participant can take to choose his or her career path, obtain work as soon as possible, and also additional training and job skills to advance in that career.

For specialized needs, Work&Learn refers participants to many excellent local Service Providers.

Work&Learn is run totally by volunteers. To see what some of them do, go here…
